About bohokiwi

Bohokiwi was founded by two Kiwi women with a passion for sustainability. Phillipa is a single mother of three who knows firsthand the challenges of managing periods on a tight budget. She's also an active member of her local community and has a strong connection with other mothers groups in the local communities about sustainability and options to make their lives easier. Justine is an entrepreneur who lives in Tokyo and has been a long-time advocate for eco-friendly products and sustainability. She has spent over 20 years traveling the world and has seen period poverty first hand in her travels. This experience inspired her to join forces with Phillipa and create Bohokiwi.

At Bohokiwi, we're on a mission to make reusable period products accessible and affordable for everyone. But we're not just about selling products – we're about empowering girls and women to feel confident and comfortable talking about their periods, and helping to eradicate period poverty in our communities. We believe that all women should have access to high-quality, eco-friendly period products, regardless of their income or background. By providing affordable solutions and raising awareness about period poverty, we hope to make a difference in the lives of girls and women around the world.

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us – it's a way of life. That's why we're committed to promoting a zero-waste lifestyle and making every effort to minimise our environmental impact. From our compostable, recyclable, and biodegradable packaging to our ethical and fair labour practices, we're proud to reflect our sustainability values in everything we do. We want to create a world where all women have every opportunity to thrive, without being held back by their periods or the cost of period care products.

Join us on our journey towards a more sustainable, equitable, and empowering future. Together, we can make a difference and create a better world for all.
